About Me

Photography centers me.  My photos are not planned, I go in search of them.  To me, they are a slice of the world that I am driven to find, compose and capture. I create paintings with my camera. Something will catch my eye and the process begins. With infinite possibilities, my camera, lens, tripod and I define an angle and a perspective.  My lighting is always natural. My lens, almost always a prime lens, defines the field of view that I work within. It is a slow process with many decisions to be made. Once those choices are made, with the release of the shutter,  I stop the world for a moment. A mere fraction of a second.  I own that moment.
